Forever Nineteen

I wrote Forever Nineteen after reading an old article in my local newspaper about a 19 year old paratrooper who died during World War II in 1944. His story stuck with me; he’s among many soldiers who never got to celebrate the end of war. These soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, are more than a number of casualties, but individuals with their own stories. I hope this song brings light to those stories that haven’t been heard and honors all those who have served.
